Why Fresh Food?

Our Story
See that handsome devil on the logo? That’s Jackson, my best friend for the past five years. In the summer of 2005 he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Jackson went on chemotherapy, which helped arrest the spread of the tumors, but he became increasingly withdrawn and tired.

To provide Jackson with the best nutritional support we switched from a premium dog food to a raw diet. Although our puppy, Raleigh, was doing fine on the same diet, Jackson’s weakened system could not handle raw food and it looked like we were going to lose him.

That’s when I started researching pet nutrition and the ingredients used in commercial foods. As a result the whole household started getting fresh meals. And what a difference it made. Jackson’s health improved dramatically. He even started chasing Raleigh around the yard again. Our vet is pretty happy with his progress; obviously, so are we.

Raleigh benefited as well; initially her puppy coat was soft and silky. As she grew, we switched her to Jackson’s dry dog food. But soon after Raleigh's coat became coarse and her skin dry and flaky, leading to frequent scratching. Even worse was her horrible gas! After a couple months on Dog Stew, her coat was restored to a beautiful luster, the scratching stopped and thankfully the gas issue was completely remedied.

Most people don’t have time to cook for themselves, let alone their dog. And cooking for a dog requires meeting their nutritional needs, which are often greater than ours. Dog Stew can make your life a whole lot easier and your dog’s life a whole lot healthier. Jackson, Raleigh, and I invite you to try it.
