Dog Stew : Home Why Fresh Food?

Good Health
For Your Best Friend’s Health — “My dog seems healthy.” We look at our dog and don’t recognize any problems, so it seems we have a healthy pet. But take a second look at your dog’s coat and skin. Are they scratching a lot? How’s their energy level? And what’s going on inside their bodies?

A dog may appear healthy, but consider the cumulative effect that occurs when dogs subsist on commercial food. Pet food companies use fillers, by-products, and ingredients such as BHA, BHT, and Ethoxyquin, all of which are banned from use in human food production in many countries because of possible carcinogenic effects. Today it is estimated that 50 percent of dogs over the age of ten will develop some form of cancer. That’s much higher than the cancer rate in humans. It’s time we take a closer look at what we’re feeding our pets. From experience, I can tell you that both treating and diagnosing a dog with cancer are very expensive.

Commercial foods include beneficial oils in their ingredients, but what’s the benefit of a dried oil? We add our oils after cooking so that they retain their nutritional properties.

Many commercial foods supply the bulk of necessary vitamins and minerals through supplements. While there are some vitamins and minerals that can’t need to be supplemented, we believe that the bulk of nutrition should be supplied through whole foods.

Say NO to KibbleFor Your Best Friend’s Enjoyment — Is your dog eating out of desperation or because they genuinely enjoy their food? When you try Dog Stew, you’ll notice the difference.

Although an occasional fast is okay for dogs, does your dog skip eating a couple days in a row? Maybe there’s nothing in the food your feeding to interest them. We rotate foods so dogs stay interested in their meals and with real meat as our primary ingredient dogs love it.

For Your Convenience — We deliver meals using the same ingredients you would use yourself, right to your door. All meals are packed in daily portions to eliminate over or underfeeding. We’d rather that you take your dog for a walk than spend a few hours each week in the kitchen.

Isn’t it time you started to feed your best friend better?
